Stockholm Lisboa Project plays music from Portugal and Sweden. a fusion of fado, polska and beyond, bringing a truly amazing singing voice ( of Liana ) with truly spellbinding instrumentals from the other band members .. unusal and an almighty wonderful sensuous sound define this great band.

Musicians from Portugal and Sweden joined to communicate their music traditions. Distant in space, under the universal language of music they found new textures and bridges between North and South, one tradition and the other.

The repertoire draws from Portuguese and Scandinavian folk music, from Fado songs to Polska dances, brought to the ears by the sounds of violin, mandolin, Nordic mandola, diatonic and chromatic harmonicas and voice.

Simon Stĺlspets, Sérgio Crisóstomo, Liana and Filip Jers are the faces of this wonderful band which brings to stage traditions from their roots.Nominated for Songlines Music Awards 2010.
