Guidewires are four Irish musicians and one from Brittany. It is inevitable their mix of music is not just Irish but also Breton, Middle Eastern, Galician and newly composed.

Their debut album "live" was released in September 2009. "A spectacular, multicoloured debut" wrote The Irish Times.

The new CD Guidewires II is just released. Guidewires continues to push the music to the edge of its own boundaries. The new Guidewires set can be heard in Belgium at Dranouter Festival on Saturday 6 August 2011. Be prepared for a concert of electrifying music with arrangements that are sure to make you fall in love with this bands music.

Guidewires have an all-star line up with Irish music's most famous concertina player, Breton music's hottest flute player, one of Ireland's most recognisable name on fiddle, a top producer and performer on guitar, and one of the fastest growing stars in Irish music on bouzouki.

"From Ireland to the Middle East with a whistle stop towards Breton, Guidewires sound like a modern day Bothy Band." The Scotsman, Jan 2010
