The whole reason for establishing FRUSION as an agency was to ensure that everyone got a fair deal and that promoters and artists alike knew exactly what to expect from each other no inflated fee quotes, excellent service in a very demanding entertainments industry and above all honesty and good advice in the way we work for you.

Live promotions and outstanding new musical projects with the artists we work with and the promotion of new talent across a broad musical spectrum, primarily in the world of world roots music with a hint of the new.

Our raison d étre? a firm commitment to equal opportunities, and access to the arts that bind us all together regardless of race creed colour religion or physical, mental ability.. and hey, encouraging working together to create mutual understanding.

We actively encourage and promote /provide educational programmes and a proactive approach to creating new works through the production arm of FRUSION.

And why the name Frusion??? yes you've guessed it

FRUSION = Folk + Roots + Fusion

FRUSION is run and owned by Ian Smith a Musicians Union member for many years, and currently national chair (2005 / 06) of the national committee of the Musicians Union, Folk Roots and Traditional Music section. A promoter, event co-ordinator, programmer and activist in the world music and folk roots scene in the UK for over 25 years
